CancĂșn 2016

This year, instead of visiting Monterrey, we met Carlos's family in Cancun.  It was 5 nights and 6 days of family and pool time!  The boys *LOVED* it.  They cried for their cousins when we got home!

The pictures are in no particular order because I'm too lazy and I have to do some work before bed.  I also stole some of them off FB from Carla and Carlos and Lorna.

We took a catamaran ride to go snorkeling.  It was kind of a disaster.  The captain had two long pinky nails for snorting coke?  He was a perv as well.  The equipment they had was too big for the boys, and the water was open ocean and too choppy.  We all thought we were going to a protected inlet or a walk-out beach to snorkel--not the open ocean.  But whatever.  It was something to do, and I got in the water for a bit to try the snorkeling.

Christina, Lorna, and Jaime enjoyed a swim while waiting for the others to finish snorkeling.

The hotel pool was awesome.  It had a "cliff" dive spot, water slide, wading pools, and swim-up bar.

There was an infinity pool near the beach as well.

Happy 4th of July!

I didn't take may photos this year.  :-(  We went to the parade in Bridgewater, as we do every year.  This year, our friends Anne and Brad and their kids joined us.  So did my mom and brother.  My dad was in Canada for a workshop.  We missed you, Grumpy!

It was impossible to get a photo of the kids looking at the camera!

After the parade we went to Nick and Lorna's for a cookout because mom's pool was busted.  It's working again, now, though.  Thank God! haha...

Mohawks, Garden, Ice Cream, Swimming, and Cookouts

When the boys were having their haircut, I took a picture of Adi with a mohawk.  I sent it to Carlos via text, saying that Adi wanted one...he got SO MAD!!  Maria and I were nearly peeing ourselves laughing at how mad he got.  We got him good!  Obviously, we didn't leave his hair like this.

Sebastian is such a slob with ice cream.  It runs down his arms, and he gets it all over his face.  It doesn't seem to bother him much.  Meanwhile, Adi is pretty neat.  He is OCD about eating...most of the time.

I took the cages off my garden finally.  I hope the animals don't eat my veggies.  But the plants needed room to spread out.  I've got some summer squash and zucchini coming now.  We ate squash blossom quesadillas the other night.  Hopefully we'll have some eggplant, tomatoes, and hot peppers soon, too.

Today we had a cookout at our neighbors' house.  Mike and Karen spoiled us rotten--excellent food.  She had pool toys for them, googles, chalk, and some dinosaurs.  It was great.  The boys love them both so much.  They had so much fun they didn't want to go home.  Night 3 in a row of going to bed way past their bedtime...

We went to their favorite playground earlier today.  They climbed the spider web.  We had muffins and coffee from the cafe down the street.  They met twin boys that were 5 and had fun chasing them around for a bit.
