March Storms...and Flooded Basement

Well, thanks to the worst March EVER, we had a few inches of water in our basement.  It soaked every surface of the basement and garage.  It was also absorbed by the wall board in the TV area.  We had to file an insurance claim and get a restoration company out to help us dry out.  Now that's it all over, I'm grateful that we got rid of our nasty carpet downstairs and have a new durable vinyl floor.  Carlos is also painting the entire basement white, and it looks lighter already.

Dripping wet inside the walls where the dry wall was...

We also ripped the nasty carpet off the stairs, even though that carpet didn't get wet.  We need to repaint them, but they look better already now that they've been cleaned off and the rug staples pulled out.

The mess while in the process of doing the floors...

Floor is done here...phew!  But Carlos is still doing the primer on the walls down here.  It required a lot of coats!  He's been working hard at it.
