Summer Plans

I'm off this summer, starting July 1 until August 26th.  Not bad!  This will be the first summer since I was in high school that I've truly had off.  (Even when I was teaching, I was taking classes during the summer towards my master's and certification.)  I'm actually really looking forward to spending time with the boys, having adventures, and teaching them stuff.  During the school year, it's pathetic how little I see them during the week.  It's like 20 minutes in the morning and 2 hours or less at night.  That's sad.  Thank God for weekends!  I am excited to take them places, even if they won't really appreciate the experiences this summer at around 18-20 months.  And, they really need to learn colors, more words, and other stuff.  They will be in daycare twice a week for just half days (7-12) so that they don't lose the schedule and can take advantage of some of the curriculum there.  And, they'd miss their friends at this point, I think.  But otherwise, it's all me...

So, it's time to brainstorm all the things to do and places to go with the boys this summer.  Then we'll see how many we're actually able to cross off the list at the end of the summer!  I want it to be as productive as possible!

*Easton Children's Museum
*Boston Children's Museum
*Peaceful Meadows (ice cream/farm)
*Apple picking (late summer!)
*Hull--beach and carousel (many times, I hope!)
*Plymouth
*Borderland State Park
*Road biking in a safe place with bike trailer
*Franklin Park Zoo
*Davis Farmland
*Playground hunting
*Blue Hills (trail side museum?)
*Play dates

Where else to moms go with their toddlers?  I need ideas!
