Happy 2nd Birthday Fiesta

Carlos and I spent all week and all day yesterday getting ready for the boys' party.  We had a great time, so I'm glad we did it.  The only bad thing with parties this big is that we never really get to enjoy time with anyone for too long.  Thanks to everyone who helped out with the fiesta, as well.

It was so nice to see everyone who turned out for the party.

After the kids arrived we had our turkey egg hunt around the back yard.  A handful of kids who were supposed to come didn't because things came up, so that was a bummer.  It was harder to do the egg hunt because all the kids were pretty little.  I was counting on the older kids to get it going and show the little kids what to do.  But they got outside for a few minutes and ran around, so it was ok.

Then we did the piñata, but again, the kids were really too little.  I had to knock it down.

Then we had white chicken chili, beef frito chili, frijoles charros, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, cocktail meatballs, and english muffin pizzas for the kids.  And then Mexican chocolate Elmo cupcakes, brown butter and salted caramel pumpkin cupcakes, vanilla cake, and dulce de leche cheesecake.

MMMMM!

Then we opened presents!  The boys got some great gifts.  Thank you to EVERYONE!

The boys spent all morning playing with their new toys.  We have a lot of books to read, too!
