Recent Milestones

Wow!  All of a sudden, the firsts are just coming like mad!  I am loving it!

Sebastian:

1. Gives fish-face kisses.  When you go "kiss, kiss, kiss" and make kissy faces at him, he responds by giving kisses of his own.  But he sucks in his cheeks and then blows...it's adorable.

2. At daycare, they were trying to teach him to blow kisses.  He does it, but instead of touching his hand to his mouth, he touches his head and then moves his hand/arm outward towards the person.

3. He's taking more and more little steps and standing better and for longer periods of time by himself.  But still not full-blown walking.

4. This morning he grabbed the purple play phone form his toy, picked it up, and put it to his mouth and ear like a real phone.

5. He has a little Sesame Street "CD player."  It plays what their nurse Marcy would have called "circus music"--no words, just tunes.  Well, he "sings" to it by making noise when it plays.

6. He LOVES, loves, loves his Lamaze toy, Olivia the Owl.  The boys have played with her since the beginning, but neither has been as into her as Sebastian is right now.  If he sees her, he has to be holding her, and he cuddles her.

Adrian:

1. Adrian is talking up a storm these days, but still no actual words.  But he can be very expressive in his babbling!

2. Adrian is standing for longer periods of time as well, and is now cruising more and seems much more interested in walking than just a few days ago.

3.  He gives more consistent, accurate high-fives than last week and flashes you a Dracula smile (teeth coming in funny) when he does it.

4. He's eating pretty well and enjoying all sorts of new foods at daycare.  Yesterday he devoured his fish sticks and a week ago they told me they had to "cut him off" from cream of chicken soup after he'd eaten 3 bowls of it!

I love these moments.  This is a fun age.  Except for the teething part.  That's not fun.
