Apple Picking!

Today was an absolutely stunning, gorgeous, amazing fall day.  THIS is why I live in New England.  We met Michelle and her family at Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow, MA.  This is the 3rd or 4th time we've been there, and the second with the boys.  But last year, they were just tiny (around 9 months) and we had to push them the whole time in the Britax stroller.  This year, they could walk on their own (although we did have to carry them a little...)

We got there early, so we stopped at the store first for some apple cider donuts!  So yummy!  The boys loved them.  I wish I had remembered to take a picture of them with cinnamon and sugar from the donut all over their face!

These mums will be gorgeous in a few days when they are all open!

We picked Gala, MacIntosh, Empire, and my favorite, honey crisp!  It was a good selection of kinds of apples (stuff I like), and it was easy to find plenty of apples--the trees were barely touched!

The boys walked around with apples in their hands for most of the time.  They loved their "abbles" as they called them.

After, the boys didn't sleep much on the way home, so they were kind of a pain in the neck when we tried to go to Topher's end of the summer BBQ around 3pm.

But it was a great day for apple picking, so I'm glad we went.  Just for good measure, here's a few Instagram pictures from last year for comparison's sake...

We also picked up a table and chairs for the boys from Michelle.  They LOVE their new table!  Right now it's in the kitchen so they can eat at it, like at daycare.  But eventually, they will sit at the regular table and we'll probably move that down to the play area so they can do projects with Natalie.

They sit at it and talk to each other and giggle.  Love it!
