And We're Done--Back to Reality

Another fun few days with the boys.  And "vacation" is over.  This time I am more ready to go back to work than I was over the summer and Christmas breaks.  The boys are better in some ways now that they are older, but they are also fussier and harder to deal with in other ways.  I'm exhausted and out of energy and money!  At the same time, I hate to go back to work and leave them.  I've seen so much growth in the past 2 weeks.  The speech has exploded and their personalities have really come out, particularly Adrian's.  That kids is FUNNY.  I mean really funny.  He has the ability to tease you and make you laugh with his faces, his mimicking, and just his way of being.  People always always think Sebastian is the funny one because he's more outgoing at first.  But once Adrian warms up, he's actually more personable than Sebastian I think!

Friday, we did another mall running session at SSP.  The boys were tired when we were done!  That's always a good thing!

My mom came over to visit in the afternoon.  Beyond that, I don't remember what we did.

Saturday morning, we had Luke's 4th birthday party at Imagination Island.  The boys had a blast running around playing.  Once again they gravitated towards the cars, but they branched out a bit more than they did at Jungle Jake's!

Adrian actually liked the bouncy house (that's a first).  This picture makes me feel dizzy!

After playtime, we had pizza and cake.  The boys were happy to drink juice (since I never give it to them), eat their favorite food (pizza), and indulge in chocolate cake.  Last year we took these picture at Luke's party.  Their hair was so long and disgusting!  Oops!

And here are almost identical photos taken a year later...they look so much older now!  And while they did get chocolate on themselves, the mess was NO WHERE near as bad this year!!  I couldn't get them both to look at the camera at the same time, though.

I think Adrian would have licked the plate if we'd let him.  That boys loves his cake.  And in typical fashion, Adrian ate with a spoon.  Sebastian shoved the cake in his mouth with his hands.

Here's the whole fandamily.  I look AWFUL.  And why is Carlos's hair all messed up?!  Mimi, did you and Auntie Pat have anything to do with that?!?!?!??!!

Today we didn't do much because of the torrential rain.  We mostly hung around and watched Cars and played trucks.  Here are the boys and Carlos facetiming the grandparents and cousins in Mexico.  Adrian was showing them his string cheese and Sebastian just kept on playing trucks.

And that's all folks.  Here was my original list of things to do with them over March Break with the things we actually did crossed off.  I'd say we did great!  I never expected to actually do all of them, and I will say, I didn't think we'd even do this much.  It feels good to say that we made the most of our time, despite the bad weather.

1. Children's Museum in Easton

2. Aquarium in Boston

3. Visit Papa at work

4. Playgrounds in Easton (Went to both Frothingham Park and Keach)

5. Pump and Jump or Jungle Jake's in Pembroke (Did JJ's)

6.  Lunch date with Mama (We had 2 family breakfasts out.  And I had lunch dates at home with the boys every day.  So I didn't feel the need to spend money to take them out to lunch.)

7.  Animals at Blue Hills (too cold, snowy, or wet pretty much every day of vacation)

8.  Visit Harvard Square and drop by old office (Didn't want to drive  back up to the area after going to the Aquarium and Framingham)

9.  Story time at library (Boys were sick first week and weather bad second.  Didn't feel like taking them out!)

10.  Pinterest art projects (Too lazy...)

11.  Mall running (Various times and places!)

Now I start counting the days until summer vacation!
