Weekend Roundup

So nice to have a long weekend!

Saturday we had the boys' music class (I still hate those stupid Music Together classes.  Yuck.).  Then we went shopping for a few things in the afternoon.  I had chaperone duty at night at Milton so I had to be on campus from 7:15-9:45-ish.  I was assigned the a capella night, so it wasn't that bad of a duty.  But I still hate trudging all the way to campus on a weekend night.

Sunday we had friends over to the house for dinner.  Carlos made Ensalada Arabe and Kafta (sp?).  It was absolutely delicious, and I only had to lose one point to eat a full dinner (the Kafta is like meatballs, and there is shredded potato in it).  I turned down dessert and was proud of myself.  I NEVER turn down dessert.

Today we hung out, went to Home Depot to buy some shelves for garage organization. We were thrilled because at Home Depot we found a shopping cart full of items that were marked 1CENT!!!  We got 2 artificial poinsettia plants (nice ones!), 5 boxes of icicle lights for the porch, a box of blue snowflake ornaments, and some bows to put on my wreaths.  For 1 cent I couldn't resist!  Even if I put the lights on the Online Yard Sale I'm pretty sure I can get more than a penny for a box of brand new lights!

While the boys were sleeping, I tried a new workout.  Our friend Andrea, who was at our house last night, told me about Jillian Michaels' 30-day Shred video, which is on You Tube.  It's 20 minutes of intense exercise: cardio, strength training, and stretching at the end.  It was hard for me in my current condition, but I hope to do it at least a few times a week and see some improvement in my muscle tone and conditioning.  It's also convenient that it's available online and requires only some dumbells to do.  I'm already sore from doing it!

After nap time, my brother, Jen, Baby James, and my mother came over for a while.  We hung out in the play room while the 3 boys played with the toys.

Here are some photos from the past week or so.

My mom pulled out some of our old Fisher Price toys from the attic.  I found this little baby that has the Satan Swirl just like Sebastian.

Natalie took it upon herself to rearrange the playroom one day.  I love it like this.  And the boys loved the change of scenery.

The boys didn't want their picture taken!

Sebastian fixing his car.  He tipped it like this and went at it with the drill.

Then Adrian took over
Adrian loves to wear his sunglasses...

He wore them even in the mall

Watching the Patriots lose.  I taught them to yell "NO PAYTON!" whenever Payton Manning came on the screen.

Bedtime tonight...the boys were in a silly mood!

Adrian smelling his feet...Ummmm yeah.....not sure what's up with that.
