Mother's Day Weekend 2014, Part Two

Today was the best Mother's Day ever!

God must be a woman--she certainly nailed the weather today here in Boston.  Not a cloud in the sky, 80 degrees (but not humid), and the leaves are just out on the trees and things are in bloom.  Gorgeous.

We started the day with a trip to Market Basket.  Good times.  The "horsey" they always ride was broken, so that was a bummer.  Carlos took the boys for a ride in the car instead while I went in the market.  It's more efficient these days when they aren't with me.

Then we headed to Hull to Dad's.  Jim and Jen and James were already there when we arrived at 9:45.  I had my first iced coffee of the season (Mary Lou's FV decaf) and blew a point for the WLC on the cream.  Well worth it.  Then we headed to the beach.  Baby James was afraid of the water, poor little guy, but my boys loved it.  Finally!  Because last year it took Sebastian quite some time to warm up to the sound, look, and feel of the beach.

Here are two short videos of Adi falling down and Adi throwing sand.

After the beach, we went to the Carousel.  The boys loved it--and they got to ride a "horsey" after all!

Then we went back to Grumpy's for lunch: steak, salmon, rice, asparagus, and roasted cauliflower.  It was all delicious.

The boys had PB&J on the porch with Baby James.  The three of them were so cute together.  Adi even shared his "wishies" (goldfish crackers) with James.  (James also shared his puffs with the boys.)

After Hull, we went to Mini's house to say hello.  We said hello to all her animals in her yard, and Sebastian took home a little duck for his garden.

Then we went to BJs and then home.  It was a whirlwind day.  I also managed to put away the Easter decorations (finally!!!) and Carlos cut the lawn.  It was so long.  The yard looks good right now, relatively speaking.  But still so much to do!

What a great weekend!  I loved every minute of it.
