Out and About

Never a dull moment lately, and we like it that way!  Just a quick rundown and some photos from this weekend.

Yesterday we were out and about looking for gifts for Carlos's family.  We hit Ikea for dinner because it was late.  The boys didn't want their meatballs or chicken fingers--until we gave them a fork.  Then they ate almost everything!  So that's the key...they are actually doing pretty well with the fork now...still not so great with a spoon.

The latest craze in the Gattas Family is Mr. Potato Head.  They both LOVE it, but particularly Adrian.  He puts the teeny-tiny glasses meant for the potato on his face.  He looks like a little nerd!  And then he gets hard at work constructing Mr. Potato Heads.  He is particularly fascinated with adding sets of eyes, as many as six sets on one potato!  Kind of scary!

The mad scientist hard at work!

One of Carlos's masterpieces.  The truth is, he's having more fun with Mr. Potato Head than the boys are.

This is the face Sebastian makes now when you ask him to smile!  He gets it!

Still smiling for the camera...

Lexi has been sleeping in our bedroom lately, which is odd since she NEVER would do that in Watertown.  We have AC in our bedroom, so the poor old thing is comfy that way.  This is her this afternoon taking a nap in our bedroom right next to Adrian in the pack and play.  She is demonstrating ballet leg, and made a mess of the rug!

This morning after our weekly shopping trip to Market Basket, Papi took Adrian and Sebastian to ride the horsey outside.  And my we bumped into my mom at the market, so she took these pictures for us.  Adrian loved it.  Sebastian loved it at the beginning, but not so much after a few minutes.

I saw this shirt a while back and HAD to get it for Sebastian.  The dog sort of looks like Lexi, and I can totally imagine him saying that the dog did it when he's older.

This afternoon it was hot and humid, but we decided to take a ride to Plymouth.  We walked to Brewster Park and the Grist Mill, where I bumped into a student I worked with this year who just graduated from Milton.

The boys enjoyed looking at the ducks and Sebastian even said, "duke."

After the park, we went down to the waterfront and Lobster Hut for dinner.  Boy, is that place overpriced!  Next time we'll go somewhere nicer!  The boys made friends with the woman sitting behind us (wearing white behind Sebastian), and they ate most of their fish and chips.  Again, the key was giving them a fork.  Without the fork, all they cared about was the French fries!

What a busy, but nice weekend!
